And just about everyone has dull lawn mower blades, hedge trimmers and spades as well as camping and hunting knives, hatchets, axes and even fillet knives. You've undoubtedly saved every twist drill you've ever dulled and, luckily for you, they can be sharpened. Most twist drill bits will dull to the point that they will no longer cut after you've drilled five or six holes through 3/16" steel. But they can be brought back to life with proper sharpening.
